Like everythings else on the internet, PhoneSpell has generated its share of questions and complaints.
Here we answer the more common questions and respond to the more common complaints.
No words were found
No words were found that matched your request. There can be a few reasons for this:
- Perhaps your request contained zeroes or ones, which have no alphabetic counterpart. We treat zeroes and ones like spaces, and try to find words which match the other digits in the number, but sometimes there just are not any.
- Perhaps your request did not contain any "vowel" numbers. All words have vowels, but there are no vowels on the digits five and seven. Combined with the above problem of zeroes and ones, you can have an innocent looking number that has no words in it, e.g. 571-7050.
- Perhaps you were just unlucky, and ran across one of the numbers that looks like it should contain a word, but just doesn't. These are rare, but by no means unheard of.
